Come As You Are
Can you imagine if you were invited to Come As You Are?
It's an invitation I gave to Painters in my current group series and I want to share it with you too.
This means, if you are late, feel free to take a deep breath and know we will get you caught up in no time. If you do not have the right materials, show up with what you do have and we will make it work. If video feels too hard for you right now you can join us with your voice. If you do not feel like attending, try and show up in any form, it's often times the most transformational experience.
It's an invitation for our Creativity too.
If your Creative could show up just as she is, how would she reveal herself?
Often times without even exercising our creative muscle we expect SO much from her. "Don't make a mistake, stay within the lines, produce something beautiful, make me look good." Do you ever wonder what lies behind those paralyzing limitations and restrictions? It's pretty juicy stuff and we all have access to it. Even now. Especially now. Your Creative does not need the right time, a special invitation, more information, more practice, more, more, more. It needs you to simply come as you are.
Perhaps coming as you are might be the most creative thing you will ever do.
I know it has been for me.
It feels like the perfect time to be holding this space for eachother.
This subject line is inspired by Emily Nagoski's book, "Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life." Same idea, different context. :)
