Date to Create: The Intimate Art of Co-Creation

Are you ready for more meaningful ways to connect with your partner?

Are you tired and bored of the same old options?

Do you want to create an experience together?

Play is intimately and intricately connected with creativity, daring, boldness, and risk-taking—all things that invite the unknown and lead to more pleasure, connection, creativity, and fantasy (Esther Perel).

Join Elissa and Nicole for an intimate night of playful co-creation where they blend their crafts of process painting and couples therapy to turn your date-night into a play-date.

In this workshop we will:

  • Encourage play by trying something new together which can reignite excitement and invigorate your relationship.

  • Paint a canvas and get creative - Creative thinking and problem solving lends itself to a deeper connection.

  • Engage in mindful listening as your partner shares their thoughts and experiences.

  • Be introduced to Imago Relationship Theory and learn and practice the key element of “Mirroring.”

  • Leave with a one of a kind canvas and experience.

Elissa is a Licensed Art Therapist and owner of Wild and Free Painting, an indulgent and nourishing process based art studio for self-care and personal growth. She specializes in Art Therapy, Process Painting Groups and Creative Workshops. She believes in celebrating your creativity in all of its authentic form to return to the idea that creative expression can serve as a tool to heal, connect, de-stress, reclaim and discover.

Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Mindful Therapy of Monmouth County in Matawan, NJ where she specializes in Imago Relationship Couples Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Eriksonian Hypnosis, Psychodrama,  and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

Let's create together!

Process Painting Fundraiser with Operation HOPE

This fundraiser supports the beautiful rescue horses at Bluemont Equine Sanctuary and Operation HOPE's scholarship fund to provide free equine assisted psychotherapy to Veterans and their Families.

Join us for a much-needed respite where you can reduce stress and connect to the creative community you’ve been looking for. Enjoy a beautiful evening at a rescue farm in Freehold, NJ and meet the amazing rescue horses at Three Sisters Forever Farm, a Veteran owned and operated farm.  Learn all about the benefits of equine assisted psychotherapy with the owners of Operation HOPE, Sara Velez & Brooke Lichter. Enjoy a creative and healing Process Painting experience with the owner and founder of Wild & Free Painting, Elissa.

Together, we will learn and explore Guiding Principles of Process Painting and take home a painting that is unique to you. We will also incorporate natural elements from the farm to bring a beautiful connection and awareness to your surroundings.

This event focuses on the act of painting itself and your experience rather than the final product. We celebrate your creativity and return to the idea that creative expression can serve as a tool to heal, connect, de-stress, reclaim and discover! Experiencing this process helps people feel a deeper connection within themselves and in turn feel more satisfied, centered and peaceful. All art materials are provided.

~ Absolutely no prior art experience is necessary to enjoy the benefits of this process. ~

Please wear close-toe shoes if you plan to spend time with the horses in the paddocks during our guided farm tour. Thank you!

Paint by Numbers: Creative Expression through Numerology

Paint by Numbers: Creative Expression through Numerology

Join Krista Lynn and Elissa for this Numerology inspired painting class.

Numerology, the ancient mystical practice of assigning meaning and significance to numbers, extends its influence beyond numbers themselves. It also encompasses colors, which are believed to carry distinct vibrations and energies that can impact our lives.

In this illuminating workshop, you will learn how to unlock the numerical power of your birthdate by the guidance of Krista Lynn.  Through the birth date, we will explore how these numerical vibrations can reveal one's life path, personal year, inner strengths and future tendencies.

After the exploration of your personal numbers, Elissa will uncover the lucky colors associated with the numbers that are unique to you.  A blank canvas and paintbrush will be provided to paint the number of your life path and embellish upon the knowledge gained.

Krista Lynn is an ARTIST, a JEWELRY DESIGNER, a CREATIVE SPIRITUAL WORKSHOP FACILITATOR, a LIGHTWORKER, an AUTHOR, a NUMEROLOGIST, an EMPATH, and most importantly a PASSIONATE ENTREPRENEUR. She left the corporate world back in 2000 and has never looked back. She finds solace and enchantment in creation and inspiring others through her workshops.   She fell in love with numbers at such an early age and has connected deeply with the ancient science of Numerology and has been facilitating “The Energy of Numbers and What They Reveal About You” for 16+ years.  She believes that we all have the answers within us...we just need to awaken and bring those answers to light. Wild and Free's 3rd Annual Reunion

Join us as we celebrate our 3rd Reunion and 6th year being Wild and Free!

This is a FREE event to gather, to celebrate and to thank YOU.

  • Open to all creators who have participated in a workshop or process painting group. Feel free to bring a friend who you know will love this vibe.

  • Light bites and drinks will be provided.

  • YES we will be painting!

  • We have found that some paintings are meant to be shared and celebrated with the world. Not because they are "good" or "pretty" but rather, when the time is right, being seen is part of our healing journey. Therefore, all painters will be invited to drop off one painting that will be hung up for this reunion and remain hanging in the studio throughout the weekend.

Drum Making Workshop

Drum Making Workshop

Seekers, are you looking to continue your transformational journey in 2024?

Come join us for our first ever drum making workshop led by expert drum maker and spirit guided healer, Zelda Hotaling (Haudenosaunee).

In this full day workshop you will:

  • Birth a 14" drum from start to finish

  • Intuitively select the section of the skin for your drum

  • Release old beliefs which no longer serve you

  • Invite your inner child to come out and play

Drumming has always been, and continues to be, an important part of First Nations ceremonies, traditions and cultural practices. Drumming is considered sacred amongst Indigenous peoples, representing the heartbeat of people, animals and Mother Earth herself. The drum represents the universal heartbeat of Mother Earth, the Universal goddess and mother to us all. Drumming facilitates healing and realignment of the four realms of human existence (Mental, Spiritual, Emotional and Physical) and provides the opportunity for spiritual journeying.

Participants will be guided by Zelda in an intuitive manner whereby the appropriate animal skin (deer, elk, buffalo) will connect with you to support your spiritual journey. Indigenous peoples have traditionally looked to animals and the gifts they bestow as integral to healing and holistic wellness in their personal and community lives.

Participants will be guided by Zelda Hotaling, who was raised under the influence of the Haudenosaunee Native American Culture. Her family resides on the Kahnawaka Mohawk reservation in Canada. Renowned for her diverse talents, she shines as an intuitive spirit guide, healer, author, visionary, and creator of the Sacred Dream Circle Project. Her lineage is a vibrant tapestry, seamlessly merging her Native American roots with influences from various cultures, bound together by ancestral traditions.

Participants will be assisted by Tammy L Sands. Tammy is the founder of Lightness of Being ~ Mind, Movement, Advocacy & Vision. Creativity, Spirituality and Transformation

A COLLABORATION

Participants attending this event can expect a guided spiritual journey that provides you with the tools to unearth what no longer unconsciously serves you and instead cultivate the answers within. This process will include a guided visualization, exploration of patterns and held beliefs that no longer serve you (or the collective), a deep meditation followed by a spiritual awakening. Participants will then have the opportunity to respond to their experience through process painting. This painting will offer a deepening of your journey and serve as a concrete reference for continued growth well after the workshop is complete. Here, creative expression will be used as a tool to capture the essence of your experience. The meaning will be found in the doing/creating rather than the end product.

Absolutely no previous art experience is required.

Tammy will be leading the guided spiritual journey and Elissa will be leading the drawing/painting portion.

10 Participants (max) to provide for intimate connection.
